Extend the Battery Life
We’ve all been there: it’s the middle of the day, you need to make an important call or take that amazing selfie, and suddenly… poof! Your smartphone battery is almost dead. Sounds familiar, right? But don’t panic! Today, I’m going to share with you six simple tricks to double your smartphone battery life. And the best part: these tips are easy to follow and don’t require any advanced technical knowledge.
1. Disable Always On Display
Always On Display is a cool feature that keeps information like time, weather, and calendar always visible on your phone screen. However, it consumes more energy than you might think. It is estimated that up to 1.5% of the charge per hour is dedicated to this feature. So, if you want to save battery, disable Always On. In your Android settings, look for “Screen and Brightness” and uncheck the “Always On” option. On Samsung smartphones, go to “Lock Screen” and disable “Always On Display”.
2. Lower Screen Brightness
Screen brightness is one of the villains of battery consumption. Regardless of your display technology, higher levels of brightness mean more energy expenditure. Dim the light intensity to prolong the power duration. You can adjust it manually in the settings or use automatic brightness, which adapts according to ambient lighting.
3. Close Background Apps
Apps running in the background also consume energy. Make sure to close those you are not using. On Android, just tap the multitasking button and swipe the apps up. On iOS, scroll up and deactivate active apps.
4. Disable Location Services
GPS is useful, but it’s also a battery eater. Disable it when you’re not using apps that depend on this function. The same goes for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. Remember, saving battery is about making smart choices.
5. Use Dark Mode
Dark mode is not only stylish, but it also helps save energy. Utilizing a black or deep gray backdrop results in less battery usage, particularly on OLED displays. Enable the dark mode in the settings of your smartphone.
6. Calibrate the Battery Regularly
Calibrating the battery is important to maintain its charging capacity. Let the phone discharge completely until it turns off and then charge it to 100%. Repeat this process every two or three months to ensure that the battery works correctly.
Remember, these tips won’t turn your smartphone into a superhero with infinite battery, but they will certainly help extend its life. Experiment with it and observe the change! 😉📱
